Online Consultation

The online herbal medical consultation is without doubt the most convenient and efficient way of diagnosing your condition and prescribing Chinese herbs which are delivered straight to your doorstep.
If you would like to pursue Chinese herbal treatment, we can have an initial online consultation via an online platform of your choice (Zoom or WhatsApp are the usual ones). You will be asked to fill out a short form (Patient Intake Form) and also take a good quality picture (preferably in natural light) of your tongue, both of the top and underneath.
I ask that you send me any medically relevant information that you have been given from your doctor or consultant including the results of any tests (blood tests, scans etc). Ideally I would have all this information to hand before the consultation so I am ready to ask you more pertinent questions to get to the root of your problem/s.
I may ask you questions you may not have previously considered. The answers to these questions will help me to understand what has led up to the physical or emotional issues to be treated.
At the end of the call, I will give you my diagnosis of your condition/s from a Chinese medical perspective and suggest a herbal treatment plan. I will also give you an indication of how long any treatment plan would last and the potential costs involved.
There will also most likely be some lifestyle adjustments that we can discuss to help you lead a healthier life. These could include dietary changes, the types of exercise that would be best for you and some activities to include in your life that could potentially help you to de-stress and enjoy your life to the full.
Following the consultation I will arrange to send you an initial 7 days of herbs to see how you get on with them. On completion of the initial course of herbs, we will have a 30-minute follow up consultation during which I will assess how we should proceed, typically by arranging for a further 2-3 weeks of herbs. We will repeat this process for as long as may be necessary.
The goal is not to stay on the herbs long term but to deal with the issues as soon as possible.
Some conditions such as complex skin problems, auto-immune, neurological, gynaecological conditions, digestive and some cancers need more frequent consultations and you should plan to be on the herbs for at least 3 months or longer depending on the situation.
Other conditions such as coughs, colds, sore throats, gout, musculoskeletal issues etc can potentially be treated within 3 to 14 days.
Chinese medicine is not cheap. The herbs have to be grown and harvested in many remote areas of the world. They then have to be prepared in certain ways, packed and transported to the UK where they undergo further transformation into granule format which means you can receive a sachet of natural product which you can empty into a cup, fill with boiling water and drink as a tea. This is powerful medicine direct from the earth with nothing harmful added and nothing of value extracted. This, in my view, is true medicine.
We will discuss likely costs at your initial consultation.
